This popular restaurant serves breakfast and lunch with a Cajun twist.  There is simply nobody in town who does breakfast better. However, we usually can be found there at least once a week with a big bowl of their file gumbo (with cornbread, of course).

The portions are generous and the food is well done - and not too greasy.  There are three other Cajun Kitchens in Santa Barbara and Goleta but this one has the nicest decor.  It used to be a fancy French restaurant and when it changed ownership the ambience stayed.

Directions: 

Southbound: Take the 101 to Linden Avenue. Turn right at the stop sign at the end of the ramp.  At the stop lights go straight and the Cajun Kitchen is two blocks up on the right. 

Northbound:  Take the 101 to Casitas Pass.  At the top of the ramp turn left.  When Casita's pass ends on Carpinteria Avenue, turn right.  At the next light (Linden Avenue) turn left.  Cajun Kitchen is two blocks up on the right.
